In February, the Dutch partners of CRISMAS visited the other partners as part of the first round of Support & Advice meetings. The first “stop” was in Italy. Nico van Os of the Safety Region South-Holland South and Ruud Houdijk of ITINERIS health & safety discussed with the local project team in Forlì the steps to take for a smooth project start-up, some logistical issues and the preparation for the second LES meeting. The same week the meeting in Ungheni took place.
Nico & Ruud had the opportunity to discuss the progress of the project with the local project organisation and presented the project in the first stakeholder meeting with more then 60 participants. The following two weeks Prijedor and Stavanger were visited. In both cities these visits were combined with a local stakeholder meeting and a meeting with the responsible authorities.
In all cases this support visits were seen as a valuable contribution to the local start of the project. For Nico and Ruud who were very impressed by the great hospitality of the partners, it was very educative to discuss the project with the local people and to see the local situation.
All partners will work the next months on risk identification and risk mapping as part of the total risk assessment process. For this purpose local project teams are established, in most cases supported by expert teams and stakeholder groups. Most partners organized last months kick-off meetings with this groups to introduce the project .
During a skype meeting, partners discussed in detail the risk identification and exchanged their experiences so far with this topic and with the local organization of the project. Some instruments used by one partner were shared among the others.
The next Learning & Experience Sharing, combined with a project management meeting, will take place in Forli, April 19th and 20th 2016. This meeting will be followed by a new round of Support & Advice meetings in May and June.
